CT - GAFE - Slides #2 - Creating Slides

Creating new Slides is something that is incredibly easy to do, and follows similar patterns as creating new documents or anything else in Google Drive.

To create new slides, simply hit “New” in Google Drive and select “Google Slides.” Then, in a new window, you will have a fresh slide deck.

Right off the start you will see that you have the opportunity to select a theme for your slides. Much like in PowerPoint, you will see that you have the opportunity to set certain things, such as backgrounds, colors, and typeface to constant throughout the presentation. If you do not see themes that you like, I would highly recommend checking out Slides Carnival, a free site that offers fun and purposeful themes for Google Slides.

Again, please check out the ThingLink images below for assistance in navigating your Google Slides page.

Google's willingness to continue to develop this a great sign of the direction they are taking their web design tool. It will not be easier for students to create powerful websites to tell their stories and share their knowledge.
